Our Journey

Andy Verey started Vertical Lift Services North West as a sole trader, supporting other lift companies with his 27 years of experience in the field and continuing to grow his reputation within the industry.

Vertical Lift Services North West became a limited company and we started to build our client base. We also gained industry accreditations to allow safe working or all.

VLS started to employ further field engineers and an office manager. We opened our head office in St Helens and continued to grow the team, which now includes a field team of engineers, an Operations Manager and an office Junior Apprentice.

We have continued to maintain our growth and have expanded the team once again. We now have our first Apprentice Lift Engineer and a sales team to allow us to continue to provide first-class services to our new and existing clients.

Over the past few decades, Vertical Lift Services North West has conducted lift installations, lift maintenance, lift refurbishments and lift inspections for a range of different clients. Our services have continually improved over the years as our team has expanded their skills, knowledge and abilities in order to deliver flawless results for each of our clients.

We create detailed plans and carry out bespoke installations for each of our clients.

Types of Lifts we Install

Throughout the years, we’ve worked on a variety of lifts in all sorts of buildings and industries. Although passenger lifts are the most common type of lift, there are numerous different types of lifts that each have their own purposes.

Passenger Lifts

The most common type of lift, passenger lifts are used to transport people from floor to floor.

Platform Lifts

Platform lifts are used to add or increase accessibility in buildings.

Service Lifts

Typically used in commercial and industrial buildings, service lifts are designed to carry heavy loads.

Glass Lifts

Glass lifts are just another form of passenger lifts. As the name suggests, glass lifts feature large panes of tempered glass.

Car Lifts

Making use of any vertical space within a parking lot or garage, car lifts are designed to carry the heavy weight of a vehicle.

Traditionally used in restaurants, dumbwaiters are small lifts that are used to transport small items from floor to floor.

We’re on call 24/7 to react promptly to your lift breakdowns.
